(click image to enlarge)In the spring of 2000 I had the pleasure of joining a group of fellow students and some alumni on a trip to Israel. You can't imagine a more different place from an Oregon spring! Here it was drizzly and cold and there we had 100+ temperatures every day. Ohhhh it was nice. :) It was my first time out of the United States and I was a tad....overwhelmed, but I had an absolutely wonderful time. With all the airline hoop jumping you have to go through now I'm glad I went when I did!

ReplyDeleteLenore - that's the St. George Monastery. Gorgeous but precariously placed! I was standing near a cliff ledge to take that photo. Well, as near as my stomach would let me. :)
