Mosaic Monday - poppies

I love how large poppies have such crepe paper petals and hairy stems. :)

My "here and there" volunteer poppies I've moved, cultivated and saved and dried seeds for the past several years to create my raised bed poppy garden. Such a gorgeous splash of color from summer until autumn.

Be sure to visit Little Red House to see all the beautiful mosaics!

Beautiful! I took a walk this afternoon and so many colourful poppies. I'll have to go back and collect seeds when they're ready.

The poppies are so pretty! We never grew them in the garden, but I think I will remedy that next year.

Molly, your poppies are so cheery. I have a perennial poppy, long since past blooming for this season. I assume these are annuals; how nice that they bloom for a long time. Your camera angles are so clever!

Molly you've described the poppies perfectly! They are gorgeous, and they know it. I also like your happy verse...it made me smile.

Have a nice day with a poppy on top,
Marianne
