Do tulle and glitter make you happy?

How about recycling? How about free? (almost free?)

I came across this project during all the Christmas in July hullabaloo and I just LOVE them. The original idea came from HGTV.com but I prefer the way they look done at Muffin Tin Mom.

My changes: I didn't use spray paint. I found that it took a ridiculous amount to cover them and I would rather use my spray paint for other projects. Instead I just used a medium sized brush and white acrylic paint. I also used a "clear" glitter rather than a white but that's because it was what I had. I think both look great. Then I took my spool of tulle (that is so fun to say, try it again!) from the Dollar Tree and cut off a length to tie as a hanger. A little bit cottage/shabby chic/green fabulous?

I think these would make cute package toppers!

Notice how this isn't the soap box project I claimed I would be posting about next? Hehe, well....there was an issue. So it is sitting on the counter half done (actually the snowflake is resting on it in all the photos). But as soon as the glue is dry...
