Early morning geometry

I thought about having a "Wednesdays with my Mom" post House of Whimsy style this week since that is who I was with all Wednesday - but since she was having shoulder surgery I knew she'd kill me for posting photos of her all drugged up and without makeup. ;)

Instead, things have just had to be a little quiet around here while I take on the role of nurse and housemaid, although I'm crossing my fingers I can actually finish a project today and post it later.

For now I'll leave you with this:

I've always liked this shirt (if you share the sentiment, you can find it here) but this morning I took a walk outside as the sun was rising and marvelled at the beautiful shapes to be found in the ice that has replaced my green plants.

Amazing patterns! Nature is always a delight.

Looking a little worse for the wear after the grime of falling leaves...

the old bathtub that resides near the grape arbor has about six inches of ice in it. Those rotten grape leaves sure left me a nice ring around the tub! (Heehee you can see my shadow Calliope there in the left corner coming to see what I found so interesting)

My brother's "new" (to him) truck. He was delivering Christmas trees with it (it's a flatbed) and I wish I'd been there while it was still carrying that picturesque load.

Happy Friday! Be sure to check back soon for my latest project and my blogoversary giveaway.

I love the old bathtub. So cool! I actually have that sweatshirt and wear it with "pride" all the time. :)

I love the English Major t-shirt! That is exactly how I feel with my art degree! :)
