Nice rust, huh? :)
Since I still wanted some under-the-bed-storage (and this just fit) I decided a quick clean up and maybe some cloth inside could make it work. I found a scrap of muslin and very roughly measure it, and cut it using the pinking blade on the rotary cutter.
Once stuffed inside the basket the fabric was a bit too free with the flopping about so I needed to secure it in a couple places. A quick punch with a paper hole punch - be aware this won't punch all the way through on all sides, at least mine didn't, but it did make enough of a hole to run some string, ribbon, etc. through.
A length of jute string to keep with my rustic look... (and that includes my hands! Good grief! Lotion, woman!)
Tied secure and no more flopping.
Tied secure and no more flopping.
At least I won't be embarrassed to leave these out in the open should I perchance to need the papers!
Shop Announcement: I'll be away from the 5th-15th but I'm leaving my etsy shop open. Since any purchases made in my absence won't be shipped until my return I'm offering free shipping on all orders as a thank you for your patience!
