Mosaic Monday - desert wildflowers

I heard a neighbor thinks that all Central Oregon is, is desert. Well nowhere is really ever "all" one thing or another so I took some photos of wildflowers to show off some of the beauty you can find there too.

Wild lupine and vetch are the only ones I recognize. The yellow one has a plant and stem that really reminds me of a dandelion. The small pink ones remind me of carnations. Anybody have a guess?

Be sure to visit Little Red House to see all the lovely mosaics.

I think Central Oregon is the most beautiful part of Oregon. My husband I used to live there and we loved everything about it. Great photos!

Very pretty wild flowers. There's beauty just about anywhere..just need to seek it out. The pink one does look like a form of dianthus.

So pretty! I live in the desert and I can attest that it is beautiful even if most people associate that word with rocks and sand. Your wildflowers are lovely.

I'm not sure what some of them are, either, but they are ALL gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! Theresa

I am a long way from Texas but I think the yellow one is common goat's-beard and the pink one is a dianthus. Can't determine the others.

Ooo, how pretty! I'm from NJ and I can honestly say that it has never occurred to me that there might be anything remotely desert-like in Oregon! Thanks for sharing your lovely blooms at MM. :)
