Use the Good Stuff - Living Lovely

This week's Living Lovely challenge was to "use the good stuff" - go ahead! Use it!

Both items that came to mind for me to use were made by the same woman - a woman who firmly believes that you should use everything you have and not put it away because it's too pretty to use. What good is it then?

She made me this lovely reversible apron for my birthday this year. I do use it, but am terrified I'm going to get something on it. Ironic, considering that's the whole point of an apron.

The other item was a quilt/throw she made me for a high school graduation gift - I pulled it out of storage to use at the foot of my bed in case it gets a bit chilly at night (as it has been a few nights!)

Be sure to visit Mt. Hope Chronicles to see how others are living lovely and using the good stuff.

LOL! I always hate getting stuff on pretty aprons, too. :) Love that quilt! I've been wanting a handmade quilt. What a special treasure to be enjoyed. Thanks for joining in, Molly!

I love the concept of "use the good stuff". I still have purfume that I don't use, cause, heaven forbid, I might use it up!

I so agree with this! (And with the fear it brings with it! lol) I tend to hoard my best patterned paper and what not which is silly so I'm starting to use it all!

Hi Molly,
Wow, somehow this past week just flew by and took me with it. But I wanted you to know that your lovely earrings arrived and they're even prettier in person. Thank you so much for getting them right out to me. And speaking of jewelry...you have outdone yourself with the Wedding jewelry below. You do such beautiful work.
And as for the apron and quilt (that is adorable-beyond-belief)...you are one lucky girl. : )
Take care,
M.L.
