Mosaic Monday - nature's lace

Weed though it may be, I'm quite fond of Queen Anne's Lace. It's such a lovely shape and silhouette I just can't help but be drawn to it. At the Barn House flea (as if I haven't blabbered about that enough) it was filling vases and containers in every tent and it looked right at home amongst the elegant junque.

I remember how surprised I was to learn it is also called a wild carrot. I've never eaten one but have you ever smelled the root? A delicious carrot smell. :)

Be sure to visit Little Red House to see all the beautiful mosaics!

I love it too! I didn't know it was called wild carrot either. Interesting. I'll have to give it a whiff! I love the shot with the ladybug!

Kayla and I have always LOVED Queen Anne's Lace, probably because we loved the movie, "Anne of Green Gables." (Queen Anne's Lace is her favorite flower).

People always tell us they're weeds and we refuse ro believe ;) I especially love the one, tiny dark flower in the middle!

Pretty pictures :) Thanks for sharing the love!

Just beautiful!!! How interesting about the "wild carrot" thing.
Kudos to you, Molly, for the desk make-over below. It looks completely functional now. Such a good feeling! : )

I love your photos! Queen Anne's Lace is one of my very favorite flowers. Oddly enough, we have very little of it around here.

Have a beautiful day!

I love Queen Anne's Lace as well. Now I need to get a scent of the root - I knew about them being wild carrots - but I never thought to catch the scent. :) Theresa

So very beautiful, Molly! I've been on a QAL kick, photography-wise, too. Have you seen my other blog?
