Mosaic Monday - flower explosion

It seems like just yesterday that it was drab winter and I thought color would never arrive, but today, walking around in the sunshine I realized what a flower explosion I have going on.

My oregano is trying to take over my herb garden. I haven't let it yet, but it doesn't give up trying.

My cousin once told me about an old wives tale in which wasps are needed to "crack open" peony blossoms. Whatever it is, they sure like them and I have to watch myself as I walk by. Haven't been stung in probably 8 years and I'd like to keep it that way!

My kitty is good at keeping track of me even amidst the jungle of plants. :)

Not sure if Mosaic Monday is even going on this week but you should visit Little Red House anyway, she always has amazing photos up.

Beautiful photos, love the kitty! I thought it was ants that needed to open the peonies. I killed all the ants off my grandmother's when I was a kid and they never opened. She wasn't happy with me>

That is a different tale for peonies than here. Ours require the ant to help the blossoms along...Don't like being around the ants much when they are busy, but I most say I'd rather not have the wasps! Nicely done! Cathy

Omigosh Molly, your garden is gorgeous! My peonies are just opening, and the ants are all over them... no wasps, though. :)

Gorgeous flowers. Isn't it wonderful when they just start appearing? It's as if color re-enters the world.

I think this was the last day of my work week. I worked through all of the sunny warm days..so sad.

Your herb garden is amazing! Let me know if you need someone to take some of your herbs off your hands. ;)

Your garden is an explosion of color and shades of green. It really is beautiful. What do you do with all that oregano? I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

Your Spring garden is gorgeous. I love all the flowers bursting forth right now.

Got same problem with marjoram, oregano, lemon balm, & various mints.
Did I hear the Ungourmet wants to take some herbs?
