Earth Day 2010 - tutorials to reuse and recycle

Tell me I'm not the only one who is secretly amused at all this talk of going green. I understand that to some this concept may be new but isn't it what we financially challenged people have been doing the whole time out of necessity?

So in honor of Earth Day or, in my house, Every Day, here are some past projects in the spirit of the idea:

Dryer lint receptacle from an old soap box:

Yarn holder made from an oatmeal tub:

Candle enhancement made from twigs from the yard:

Art made from an old paper bag:

Giftwrap from a food tin:

Or vases made from Starbucks bottles:

I guess I didn't know it was so hip to be broke. :)
