The Vintage Shoppe & Lavender Hill Cottage

I and a few others spent all of yesterday visiting vintage and thrift shops in Oregon City. If you grew up in Oregon you know how important this city is to our history - it's the site of the end of The Oregon Trail.

Anyway, our first stop was at...

This shop is on 212 14th St. Oregon City, OR 97045 for all you google mappers. :)

This shop is located in an historic home which just adds to the charm.

I completely spaced taking photos of the downstairs because I was more concerned about dripping on the pretties since it was, of course, POURING rain outside as we walked in.

Upstairs each closet and tiny room is filled.

And you have to really spend a lot of time just standing and moving your eyes around to see everything.

I loved these dishes and teacup stacks.

There's even a basement full of goodies too (there's an old dumbwaiter going down to the basement that I was fascinated by). My mom bought a beautiful shabby chic pillow and I drooled over a few things but didn't have any cash with me - dang!

Just two houses up the sidewalk is...

There is actually quite a lot of lavender inside and it smells divine.

They had the most fantastic collection of plaid thermoses and lunch kits in one of the baskets on the left - why didn't I take a photo?

Right inside, this closet was filled with vintage clothes and accessories.

The kitchen is filled with kitchen items...

It is completely adorable inside. Talking with the woman working there, the place is run by several people and they take turns working so one person isn't stuck working there all the time. A nice way to run things, I think.

I loved all these vintage suitcases.

If you are in the area do stop by and visit these shops!

Several stops later and we finally made it home. My future SIL and myself shared some of this uniquely flavored sorbet. It's very creamy and not really sweet but I liked it. I think I may have a mild soy allergy so I appreciated that this treat was made with coconut.

A very wet, very tiring day, but oh the pretties! :)

A store that smells of lavender? I would be in heaven! Lots of pretty things everywhere I look! I would love to visit that part of the country...I'll write it down in my journal! ♥

Haha "POURING rain," Oregon Represent! I might get sick of the heat here in AZ eventually, but at the moment I am definitely not missing the rain and cold. Those places are adorable and I LOVE all those tea cups! It is a good thing I wasn't there or I would probably be broke!

Hello! Stopping by from "Delicately Fierce". Thank you for taking all those lovely photos and giving us a tour. What is that pink bead hanging item?

Will definitely have to stop and peruse these shops next summer! I absconded with my mom's blue suitcase that looks exactly like these. I thought it was worth more than 20 bucks though! Well, it's priceless to me.

We drive past these two shops every Sunday, and just last week I told my mom "We should check out those places sometime". I'm glad to see that they ARE worth perusing! They look delightful. :)
